Digitalisasi Data Pemuliaan Sapi Melalui Teknologi Informasi pada Peternak Rakyat di Kabupaten Tegal

Smallholder cattle farming in Dukuhbangsa Village, Tegal, faces significant challenges due to conventional breeding data management. Currently, less than 20% of farmers perform routine data recording, leading to lost lineage, reproduction, and health records, which hinders the selection of superior breeds. This Community Partnership Empowerment (PKM) program aims to implement technology through a web-based breeding information system to enhance data accuracy and sustainability. The implementation method follows five participatory stages: needs identification, system design, technical training, implementation, and evaluation. Results indicate a significant transformation in data management, shifting from scattered manual records to a centralized digital database. The system facilitates structured documentation of cattle identities, mating history, and offspring birth records. Consequently, the program has improved farmers' digital literacy and is projected to increase recording efficiency by 40%. This digital transformation provides an objective basis for breeding selection decisions, ultimately aiming to improve the genetic quality and productivity of smallholder livestock.
